Tinker Bell is a character that was created by James Matthew Barrie for the 1904 play The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up, Peter and Wendy known straightforwardly as Peter Pan. Tinker Bell's creator J. M. Barrie stated that she was a common fairy, who fixes kettles and pots, and is a tinker. She speaks in a "fairy language" consisting of a tinkling bell. In the original 1911 novel she's known to be vindictive, jealous and short-tempered. Tinker Bell appears in Betty Boop in Peter and Wendy.[1]
