A cat fishing deals with worms who rebel, a deep sea diver flirts with Betty Boop, who when caught on a hook is then thrown out of the sea and onto a clock tower and turns into a live-action scene featuring Ethel Merman, who sings a scat-singing rendition the 1930 hit song "Time on My Hands" with the Bouncing Ball. The cat performs a Scottish jig on bagpipes, that turns into an angry octopus. Both Betty and the cat flee, they escape entering the mouth of a whale that turns into in aeroplane.

  • Was released on the 23rd of December in 1932.
  • Mae Questel fills in all the alternative character dialogue, and apart from voicing Betty, also voices the worms and the fish. 
  • "Time on My Hands" was a popular song in 1930 with music by Vincent Youmans and lyrics by Harold Adamson and Mack Gordon. The song was introduced in the musical Smiles by Marilyn Miller and Paul Gregory, it is sometimes also co-credited to Reginald Connelly.
