Ted Sullivan Hannah (born on May 24, 1944, in Forest, Mississippi) was raised in Roosevelt State Park. Hannah attended Morton High School with his brothers, but when his family relocated to Lake, RFD, in 1960, he completed his final year at Newton High School.

He attended East Central Junior College, and graduated with a journalism degree from the University of Southern Mississippi's School of Communications. He began his career as a journalist for the Jackson Daily News, he later rose to the position of state news editor. Hannah also worked as a stringer journalist for the Associated Press and the London Times while at the publication. Hannah began working at King Features Syndicate in 1974 as an Assistant Public Relations Director and was promoted to Publicity Manager in 1979.

He left King Features in 1980 to head the magazine's publicity activities, but returned in 1981 as Director of Advertising and Public Relations. He conceived and oversaw the public relations effort that reintroduced Betty Boop to the globe, and the licenced character now represents a billion-dollar corporation.

Hannah was also in charge of King Features' advertising programme and planned special events for the New York City-based corporation over his tenure. For many years, he arranged a star-studded stage presentation and luncheon for the Banshees, which was presented annually to the nation's newspaper publishers and editors in New York City.

Mr. Hannah continued to handle entertainment on behalf of The Hearst Corporation and King Features in later years, when the newspaper event changed format, presenting receptions with concerts by stars such as Tony Bennett, Vic Damone, and Mel Torme.
