Lulu Belle appears in the 1931 Screen Song titled Any Little Girl That's a Nice Little Girl.

With a different girlfriend every day of the week, Casanova Cat visits his favorite. "Oh! You Beautiful Doll!" is playing in the background when Lulu Belle appears. Lulu then starts singing Casanova Cat "What Wouldn't I Do For That Man". The would-be feline Lothario is pursuing Lulu, who has a feline appearance.

Belle becomes enraged with Casanova Cat after their date, and she throws her lounge chair at him. Later on, in the closing scene, she can be seen dancing with Casanova Cat. The song claims that she gets upset by his flirtations while she is dancing, and then Casanova is seen hurling Lulu Belle out of a balcony window.

Any Little Girl That's a Nice Little Girl is included in Betty Boop: The Definitive Collection and is categorized as a Betty Boop animation. In Little Annie Rooney, Lulu Belle makes a brief cameo appearance during a thought bubble sequence.

Trivia

  • Lulu Belle is often mistaken for Betty Boop, but she is a complete different character.
  • She has an ugly sister Nell Belle or Nelle Belle that is also shown in the sequence.
  • Due to Lulu Belle's pointed cat ears, it is evident that during the image sequence, her image is confused with that of Dolly Prance, a prototype for Betty Boop. Lulu is a cat, and Betty was a dog.
  • In the photo she can be seen wearing heels, but in the animated scenes she can be seen wearing similar shoes that Bimbo the dog wears, in other words Mickey Mouse shoes.
  • Her speaking voice is provided by Billy Murray, whereas her singing voice is provided by radio singer Harriet Lee.
  • She looks similar to the Aesop's Fables leading female character Countess Cat.
