Hunky Dory is a character from the Betty Boop comic strip.[1] He is Aunt Tillie's long-time boyfriend, introduced to the strip by Betty Boop's aunt herself. Hunky is a suave, clever and diminutive fellow that, much like his hulking girlfriend, attempted to follow the example of Betty's comic strip occupation of a Hollywood actor, with middling success. Originally sporting a thick mustache, he shaved it off for a role he ended up not getting, to Tillie's dismay. He would go on to maintain an uneven acting career afterwards.
