Helen Kane Flowers at Voices of Betty Boop[1]


While Helen Kane attempted to shrivel four other "Boop-Poop-a-Doopers" with burning glances. Supreme Court Justice Edward McGoldrick today denied her plea to let a jury decide the second phase of her $250,000 suit against the creator and producers of the Betty Boop animated cartoon. Justice McGoldrick indicated he would empanel a jury to assess damages should he rule for Miss Kane. The suit charges she served as the inspiration for Bety Boop. During argument the pioneer baby-talk prima donna glowered at Mae Questel, Bonnie Poe, Margie Hines and Little Ann Little, all of who have "Boop-Poop-a-Dooped" for Betty Boop's cartoon.
