Googi Goop is a character that appears in the Animaniacs episode titled The Girl with the Googily Goop. She's the daughter of Mama Goop and granddaughter of Granma Goop.
Like Betty Boop, Googi Goop[2] resides in an inkwell and dons a garter belt. The animation opens with the tale of Warner Bros. animation Studio's financial difficulties in 1931, when they lent Yakko, Wakko, and Dot to their rival Fleischman's Cartoon Studio, a parody of the Fleischer Studios.
The Warners appeared in the animated film "Little Red Riding Goop" with the legendary Googi Goop, which was found in Frank Sinatra's Palm Springs garage.
As they make their way to Googi's grandmother's house, Yakko, Wakko, and Dot confront Will Hays, the "The Hays Code" censor. He turns into a wolf and snatches Googi. The Warners decide to rescue her quickly.
After rescuing her, Googi gives her present to her Granma, she also hands Dot one too. The gifts are skimpy dresses. Dot, Granma Goop and Googi all do the "Googily Goop" routine.
Had the Warners refused to help Googi, the cartoon would have never ended.
Desirée Goyette the onetime voice of Betty Boop, who is probably best known for her role as Betty in The Romance of Betty Boop, lent her voice to Googi. Due to a possible lawsuit by King Features Syndicate or the Fleischer Studios, Googi's design was changed.
