Garnier Lumia Hair Color collaborated with Betty Boop in July of 2001. At the time Garnier's new spokesperson, Katie Holmes had changed slightly with the evolution of her brunette locks into golden copper tresses using Garnier's Lumia Ginger Petals #54.
Alfred Amour Garnier started Garnier in France in 1904. The first hair lotion made entirely of natural plant materials was the company's first product, which was patented. In 1936, the firm debuted sun care products, and in 1960, it produced permanent at-home hair color.
Since being acquired in 1970, Garnier has branched out into skincare over the years, starting with hair color and hair care.
Garnier introduced a range of hair color products in the 2000s, encompassing semi-permanent and permanent colors.
According to Garnier, during the 2000s most people who dyed their hair are aged 18-35 and were looking for a subtle, natural-looking color. The hair color line had low ammonia levels, is non-drying and had 24 shades ranging from Golden Blonde to Blue Black.
Garnier Lumia is different because it permanently brightens your natural hair color without dramatically changing it! With low ammonia, it won't dry out. Lasting, luminous colors in 24 brilliant shades!
The story to Betty Boop is that she was stuck in black and white. As soon as Betty uses the hair dye, she becomes colorized.
