Eleanor Sandusky of 2740 Barth avenue was an American girl who entered a "Helen Kane Impersonation Contest" at the Indiana Theater in 1930 and won first place singing Helen Kane's "Ain'tcha". She excited the audience so much, that they gave her the title of Hoosier Helen Kane.
Trivia
- The news report mistakenly gave her address as 5945 Congress avenue. It was stated that an error was made in Tuesday's Times in giving Sandusky's address with an apology.
