Claire Bart was a Helen Kane look-alike and sound-alike who entered a "Helen Kane Impersonation Contest" and won first place. She was dubbed Helen's best impersonator by Helen herself. Claire would go on to conduct "Boop-Boop-a-Doop" contests for local girls.
She challenged two hundred contestants for honors which have rewarded her with a trip over the Publix Circuit of theaters and an entre into the lights of Paramount Pictures studios in Hollywood.[1]
According to a 1930 newspaper article, Bart helped promote the release of the 1930 film Dangerous Nan McGrew.[2] She also sang songs such as "Aintcha?" and "He's So Unusual".[3]
