"Bup-Bup" is a scat technique that Baby Esther Jones used to use in her act. It is said to be the predecessor of "Boop-Oop-a-Doop." Helen Kane, the original "Boop-Boop-a-Doop" girl also used to interpolate "Bup" into her songs. Including "Bop," "Lup," and "Bap."
