Miss Bonnie Poe, whose resemblance to Miss Helen Kane is marked, was served with a summons intended for the original "Boop" girl. The girl process server refused to believe that Miss Poe was not the one and only "Booper," and touched her with the summons. Miss Poe let it fall, although later someone placed it in Miss Kane's hands. The summons was in a suit by a 5th Avenue shop to collect a bill of $40.65. Chubby Miss Kane explained that she had been "too busy" trying her case "to bother" paying any merchants.
