In 2012 the newly launched Betty Boop D.C. Scratcher was the main entrée at the DC Lottery station. The $5 ticket high-kicked it into stores in early October 2012 with more than $1.4 million in prizes with three chances to win $25,000. Another prize included a “Night Out with Betty Boop,” among other prizes. Players Club members starting November 28th, going through tp December 5th, 2012, in the contest was by invitation only and welcomed Players Club members to answer Betty Boop trivia questions. The first 50 people who responded correctly won a D.C. Lottery Prize Pack loaded with Betty Boop swag.

- The Scratchers included five different looks for Betty.
- A new Betty outfitted in her cutest seasonal attire debuted each month through February 2013.
- Betty is the most popular licensed product for the D.C. Lottery’s player base.
